Mott MacDonald has appointed Alexis Jourdain to lead its nuclear division in France in the newly created role of project director, nuclear.
Based out of the global engineering, development and management consultancy’s Paris office, Alexis will develop and grow the civil nuclear business in the country, which includes nuclear new build, defence and decommissioning activity.
Alexis has 25 years of experience in the nuclear industry, specialising in business growth, strategic leadership, team building and operational excellence. In his various roles, including with Tractebel Engineering, AREVA (now Orano) and EFINOR (now Framatome), he has collaborated with key players in the nuclear sector, including large enterprises and state corporations such as EDF, French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA).
Commenting on his appointment, Alexis, said: “I’m excited to take the lead on the development and growth of Mott MacDonald’s nuclear: defence and civil business in France. My focus will be on expanding the in-country team, capabilities and clients, ensuring close collaboration with our over 1,000 nuclear specialists in Europe and the UK. Together, we’re committed to growing the business as we continue to drive success on nuclear projects across both France and Europe.”
