Canary Wharf Elizabeth line Station Transferred to Transport for London by Crossrail

Canary Wharf Elizabath line station has been transferred to Transport for London (TfL). It is the penultimate new station to transfer over from Crossrail Ltd to TfL. This will allow the Elizabeth line to enter the next stage of trial operations before revenue service this year.

Mott MacDonald’s John Bettles led the stations integration and commissioning team which pulled together elements of delivery, assurance, testing and commissioning to deliver a fully co-ordinated operation for the ten stations on the central section of the Elizabeth line.

Mott MacDonald integrated fire systems, CCTV, communications and customer information screens displaying timetable and other passenger information the station and into the overall routeway systems.

John Bettles said: “I am delighted to see the penultimate Elizabeth line station be transferred over by Crossrail to TfL. This is a momentous achievement and I’m looking forward to travelling on the Elizabeth line when it opens later this year.”
