Senior Specialist - Environmental Project Management

Mott MacDonald is currently looking for a Senior Specialist - Project Management to join our growing Raleigh, NC office. Our goal for this position is to identify an established Senior Professional to serve as a program manager and planning adviser in our North Carolina programs. The Senior Specialist - Project Management will be responsible for assisting and in a lot of cases leading planning, program management, and special study tasks as assigned.   

Responsibilities may include: 

• Manages complex projects from planning through delivery.

• Liaises between project members, cross-functional teams, external vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated.

• Utilizes appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines.

• Communicates schedule and changes to all stakeholders.

• Plans and facilitates project meetings to align the project team to methods and goals and to track project tasks.

• Monitors task completion status to Identify at risk project tasks and to develop plans.

• Allocates resources, budgets, and hours to the project and adjusts allocations when necessary 

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, Environmental Science, Planning, Urban Planning or applicable equivalent degree from an accredited college or university is required. 

  Previous planning experience required (10+ years preferred). 

• P.E. or AICP License preferred. 

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative team building skills are a must. 

• This position does require occasional travel and requires visits to client office locations and project sites. 

• A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
