Main Purpose of the Job:
Mott MacDonald are looking for a Senior Highways Engineer to support multiple built environment and transport projects across the region.
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:
Produce detailed highway/road designs for various developments and highways projects in the GCC,
Manage draftsmen to produce drawings to standards where required,
Manage resources to deliver the agreed outcomes for the project, these resources may be located in a different location
Help prepare designs, reports, specifications and other deliverables for highways schemes
Monitor and check the designs produced to ensure they meet the design briefs
Ensure designs are appropriate and meet the expected levels of technical excellence
Liaise with local authorities in gaining NOCs; resolve any issues identified by the authorities
Seek innovation in the delivery of schemes and techniques used to design and construct them
Ensure that the quality system is applied to all highways schemes.

IT and standard industry software skills, including hands-on knowledge of BIM and other digital platforms
Continuously looking for innovations and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables across teams and projects
Using interpersonal skills to build and nurture relationships and also creating effective working environments
Able to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams

Candidate Specification:
BSc in Civil Engineering; Masters in an Engineering discipline will be an added advantage
Related experience in highway/road design
Previous experience in the GCC is preferable
Hands-on experience of the following software:
Autodesk Civil 3D
Microsoft Office tools
Autodesk Infraworks and,
Bentley Projectwise
Knowledgeable in KSA design manuals/guidelines
Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel. #LI-SA2
