Job description:

Senior Electrical Engineer is required to:

Undertake and manage the day to day operations in respect of the following key areas:

•    Delivering projects in accordance with agreed time schedule schedules at various stages including feasibility/planning/ preparation of tender stage technical drawings, specifications and production of construction drawings and design compliance monitoring at construction stage for Power Plant Stations and HV-MV Substations;
•    Coordination with client project team and internal team disciplines within Mott MacDonald Group including Civil, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Control and Environmental;
•    Producing Engineering reports, drawings and calculations
•    Enhancing our business development and delivering projects in new technologies including renewable energy.
•    Coordinate the delivery of the project tasks and deliverables within tight deadlines and multidisciplinary environment.
•    Perform thorough and conscientious checking of own and others work.
•    Support project planning
•    Operate in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment and quality standards.
•    Undertake own continuing professional development
•    Protection Concepts and Industrial design and protection of HV/MV/LV Systems.
•    Potentially travel abroad to offices and/or sites.

Candidate specification:

•    Master Degree in electrical engineering with experience particularly for thermal power plant and/or HV electrical systems.
•    Fluent written and verbal English.
•    Competent with MS Office suite programs.
•    Ability to work on own initiative on technical matters and manage their own time and that of others
•    Have the willingness to mentor junior engineers
•    Attend project design meetings and site visits
•    Good knowledge of the following software packages is preferred: Office, Autocad, ETAP or Digsilent
