Senior Civil Engineer (Drainage)

Job description:

Our water team in Asia is looking to expand its capabilities and recruit a senior engineer to support water, sewerage and drainage projects in Asia, with a focus on Singapore and Hong Kong. We have a number of major infrastructure projects so this will be an opportunity to work within large multi-disciplinary teams supporting utility diversions and utility designs.

This is an exciting opportunity for an intermediate / senior engineer looking to take ownership of technical assignments, work with other experts in major projects environment. You will be expected to provide technically innovative but efficient engineering solutions. You will be confident to present solutions to clients and contractors.

The role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and where we employ a remote working model so you will be comfortable with virtual working. As such, you must be a self motivated, team player with good interpersonal skills and able to work with minimal supervision.

You will have the opportunity to engage with other discipline experts within our worldwide water community.

Candidate specification:

Essential:

• It is expected that you will have previous experience in Consultancy and be a confident communicator with excellent English skills and presentation skills
• Technical depth and confidence to work with minimal supervision
• Hands on project delivery experience ranging from feasibility study, outline and detailed design in water, sewerage and drainage assignments.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with design codes/standards for Singapore utility clients
• Experience of supporting technical write up for project bids
• Hydrology and or hydraulic modelling skills
