Project Engineer - Civil/Site

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Civil Site Project Engineer to support a variety of projects in our FL area. This person will lead project teams, interface with clients and stakeholders, and be responsible for managing project deliverables, reviews, and budgets. We are looking to have this team member sit preferably in Jacksonville, FL, Pensacola, FL, Tampa, FL, and/or Tallahassee, FL.

Responsibilities of this position may include:

• Managing infrastructure and civil engineering or construction projects and tasks, directing assignments to project team members.
• Listening to client needs and developing appropriate scope and fee proposals
• Reporting – financial, project, and construction status
• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams, both within Mott MacDonald and external sub-consultants
• Providing technical / engineering support to projects as Engineer of Record
• Participating in interviews and presentations for prospective projects
• Other responsibilities as necessary

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience: 

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program. 
• Professional Engineering license, or the ability to obtain one in Florida
• At least 5 years of experience in project management of transportation or municipal projects
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software is a must
• Microstation ORD knowledge is also a plus
• Strong project management, leadership, and people management skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with contract and subcontract management
• Eager and flexible to undertake a variety of tasks associated with the management of large projects
