Job Profile

We are looking for an experienced Planning Manager to lead our project planning team. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, precision, and a deep understanding of the construction industry to ensure projects are completed on time, and within budget. This role requires strategic planning, effective communication, and robust project management skills.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Work Knowledge and Skills
    • Knowledge in the understanding of stages of planning i.e., pre-contract (Procurement) and post-contract stages.
    • Understanding of work methods of different packages.
    • Conversant in all packages of structural, finishes, and long lead equipment.
    • Working understanding of electrical and mechanical packages.
    • High proficiency in MS Project/Primavera P6.
  • Pre-Contract Work
    • Review of basic plan shared by the Client, validate with various work packages and lead time required.
    • Prepare a baseline integrated plan for the overall project.
    • Review the schedule proposed by various contractors/vendors during the bid evaluation.
    • Review the work packages and their ordering plan and escalate concerns if any.
    • Conducting monthly meetings.
  • Post-Contract Work
    • Review and freeze baseline schedule of each work package contractor/vendor.
    • Review of contractors’ monthly plan and commenting on the resource plan for its alignment.
    • Tracking of baseline plan of each of major vendors.
    • Organizing monthly meetings.
  • Documentation and MIS Reporting
    • Keep all records of monthly project plan versus progress.
    • Flagging concerns on slippages and supporting the digital champion on risk register.
    • Preparation of monthly project report with support from other members.

The Candidate Must Have:

  • Experience of working in Industrial, Manufacturing, Production projects / similar project will be preferred.
  • In-depth technical skills related to planning, scheduling, monitoring, and project controls in the construction of industrial buildings.
  • Be a team player and good coordination with the team members.
  • Knowledge in the understanding site layout drawings, Engineering drawings, technical specifications, bill of materials.
  • Conversant in all packages of Civil, Structural, Finishes and basic understanding of MEP services integration.
  • Working knowledge of project management best practices related to Planning.
  • Solid communication and team working skills.
  • Ability to navigate stressful work situations.
  • Experience on MS Project / Primavera.
  • Any digital app-based application knowledge (if any).
  • Adept at MS Office applications.

Preferable Criteria:

  • Experience in Industrial projects preferred.
  • Conversant in industrial long lead equipment packages.

Minimum Qualification:

  • BE / BTech in Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 15 to 17 Years.
  • Industry: Industrial Projects.
  • Functional Area: As mentioned above.
