As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for collecting GPS data of field assets and assisting with inspections of utility infrastructure. This role requires direct interaction with utility customers to ensure accurate data collection.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field surveys to collect GPS data for utility assets.
  • Assist with inspections of utility and customer service line material.
  • Interact with utility customers to explain the purpose of the visit and address any questions or concerns.
  • Use handheld GPS devices and other technical equipment to gather and record data.
  • Document and report findings accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data integrity and consistency.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies during field operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in field data collection, inspections, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with GPS technology and data collection methods.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and navigate uneven terrain.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
