Mott MacDonald’s International Development Services Unit work in developing countries to alleviate poverty, establish good governance, and increase access, capacity and resilience in healthcare, education, water, sanitation, transportation, infrastructure and renewable energy – while safeguarding the environment and promoting human rights and gender equity.  

 

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Team Leaders/Urban Planners for upcoming opportunities to provide programme leadership, strategic management and support on the development of urban plans.

 

Key responsibilities as Team Leader will include:

 

  • Programme leadership and strategic management
  • Client communication and relationship management
  • Multi stakeholder relationship management
  • People and performance management
  • Oversight of financial and risk management
  • Ensuring high standards of value for money and ethical practice

Urban Planning responsibilities:

 

  • Review existing land used plans
  • Work with city officials to identify needed adjustments to existing land use plans to promote risk-resilient and sustainable urban development in target cities
  • Provide support for the development of urban plan for new port city

Key skills, qualifications and experience:

 

  • Extensive experience with the design of land use plans including significant experience working on risk-based land use plans that consider climate and disaster risks.
  • Experience of working in developing country contexts, preferably in Asia.
  • Review existing land used plans
  • Work with city officials to identify needed adjustments to existing land use plans to promote risk-resilient and sustainable urban development in target cities
  • Prior experience with working as a Team Leader
