Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:
- Power Networks:
- Load estimation for the infrastructure plots, pumpstations, lifting stations, etc.
- Preparation of electrical load calculations, load schedules, LV schedules and voltage drop calculations, cable de-rating calculations, etc.
- Familiar of of electrical systems analysis softwares i.e. ETAP, CYMECAP, ..etc.
- Design of HV, MV and LV networks including preparation of single line diagrams and layouts for infrastructure projects.
- Telecommunication Networks:
- Telecommunication infrastructure network design and knowledge of GSM coverage requirements including preparation of layouts and coverage drawings.
- Understanding of Saudi Arabia security design guidelines and /Security networks requirements.
- Understanding of ICT design basics and network requirements - Smart Cities applications.
- Street Lighting Networks:
- Street lighting network design including preparation of single line diagrams, layouts and Voltage drop calculations.
- Prepare lux calculations (DiaLux software) for street lighting.
- Street lighting designs for tunnels/underpasses is a previliage.
- Prepare designs and calculations to utility local authority standards (SEC, MOMRA…etc).
- Understanding of ROW and utility plots requirements for electrical / street lighting and telecommunications designs.
- Understanding the basics of district cooling applications.
- Understanding and applications of renewable energy is a previliage.
- Have experience in delivering master planning projects (CMP, DMP..etc).
- Proficiency in report writing and presentations.
- Outline cost and quantity estimation for dry services.
- Understanding of innovative approaches and research capacity for new technologies and updates.
- Coordinate aspects of projects submittal and deliverables, reviews and approvals against contract.
- Seek the optimal solution from internal and external sources for any design-related issues.
- Liaising/ meeting with developers, clients or stakeholders to update on progress.
- Provide any reports update to the projects design managers and project managers including
- clients when needed.
- Welling to expand knowledge for the wider infrastructure schemes.
- Assist in providing design, reports, and liaison role for all disciplines/departments.
- Assist the Manager/ Senior Engineers or Designates in work coordination with other Mott MacDonald teams.
- Assist in providing marketing support to the team with current and future clients.
Candidate specifications:
- Minimum Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical Engineering (or any relevant discipline).
- Progressing towards Professional Registration (CEng or similar) with membership in a professional institution.
- Ability to manage a design and approval process interfacing with the project team, Clients and Stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of local authority and standards mainly (SEC, MOMRAH, …etc).
- In-depth understanding of relevant software is a must strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects design & planning.
- Understanding of the requirements for primary substations, distribution substations and feeder pillars, etc.. as part of the design.
- Ability to relate to people of diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ability work independently and review your own work on a regular basis.
- Commitment towards working with all internal and external stakeholders.
