About the role

Due to continued growth, our Power, Process and Nuclear division is recruiting a Document Controller to support our technical delivery teams across a range of projects, varying in scale and complexity in the Energy Sector.

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic Document Controller with the willingness to learn all aspects of document management and potentially get involved in other project admin support. You will be required to work independently using web-based document management platforms, maintaining accurate records, and using template document controls on large projects. As an experienced Document Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining and controlling all project documentation from the project team and associates. This is a key role and it’s vital in ensuring that the team is using the latest versions of all documents to enable our work to be accurate, consistent, and delivered on time to our client. 

 

The key requirements of this role include: 

  • Administrating the projects common data environment Providing training on the projects common data environment 
  • Producing training material for end users 
  • Providing system support Reporting on user accounts and system usage
  • Supporting the Information Management Lead with testing systems to use for project production environments
  • Assisting with migration activities Ensure that a 24-hour access request processing turn-around time is achieved and maintained.

 

Key criteria:

  • Experience of large and complex projects
  • Demonstrable professional experience IT literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, pdf documentation) and good keyboard skills are crucial for the role
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills 
  • Confidence in presenting to and speaking to stakeholders
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience of project delivery using ISO 19650 processes
  • Knowledge of AEC content management systems such as SharePoint, Business Collaborator or ProjectWise
  • Knowledge of BIM toolsets from key vendors (e.g. Autodesk, Bentley, Aveva).
