Tom Lucas

Tom joined Mott MacDonald in 2008 and brings a wealth of experience as a chartered mechanical engineer with the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, specialising in the nuclear sector.

Throughout his career Tom has been recognised for his team leadership, strong client relationships and for delivering projects and designs within the highly regulated nuclear industry around the United Kingdom. He leads with a deep understanding of how technical excellence and collaboration with clients accelerate long-term positive outcomes.

Tom’s ability and drive have seen him design nuclear ventilation systems, assess nuclear facility safety cases and, in his most recent role, directly support the programme director for a significant joint venture framework that will deliver highly complex facilities in support of a strategic national endeavour.

His role as global practice leader for mechanical engineering drives growth for Mott MacDonald, building our capabilities and linking people across the world to solve our clients’ needs though innovation and technical excellence.
