Biography
Paul joined Mott MacDonald in 2014 as Group general counsel and company secretary. He is responsible for providing legal advice to the business and helping the executive board navigate legal complexities, to make informed commercial decisions that align with the law, our own corporate governance and our strategic objectives.
As general counsel, Paul leads Mott MacDonald’s legal department, a diverse global pool of professionals qualified in over 10 jurisdictions. Specialist practice areas he is responsible for include corporate and commercial, company secretarial, insurance, privacy and data protection, ethics and compliance and employment law.
Paul is a practising solicitor. He started his career in private practice as a litigator, often appearing in court to represent clients. Before joining Mott MacDonald, Paul worked at Balfour Beatty, Bechtel and Kellogg Brown & Root, gaining significant experience of major international engineering and construction projects, and the complex legal issues they generate.
