What do you enjoy about working here?

What I enjoy most is the unwavering support and encouragement to continuously learn, grow, and embrace every opportunity. My team consistently empowers and supports me, offering numerous chances to learn and take on responsibilities in various projects.

I particularly enjoy the sense of community in the office, especially among the graduates, it is both rare and invaluable.

Tell us about your specialism and why you chose it

I studied product design engineering at university. I was particularly drawn to the management aspects of engineering, which complemented my enjoyment of management duties when working in hospitality.

My role as part of Mott MacDonald’s Australian defence and security team has allowed me to manage projects, including resourcing and budgeting, while still being involved in the design and technical aspects of projects.

Why did you choose to join Mott MacDonald?

For its diverse range of projects, strong focus on sustainability and the people. My initial internship in 2022 provided a fantastic experience, both in terms of the work and the workplace culture. This positive experience made me eager to return and become a part of the team.

What have you learnt while working at Mott MacDonald?

I have gained a deeper understanding of project lifecycles. My involvement in different phases of various projects has enhanced my ability to coordinate and deliver design deliverables effectively. Engaging with stakeholders has allowed me to refine my people management and coordination abilities. I have also had the opportunity to improve my contract administration skills.

Are you involved in any additional initiatives at Mott MacDonald, aside from your day-to-day role?

I have been an active member of Melbourne’s University Engagement Committee since August 2024. This role has been particularly rewarding, as it allows me to provide guidance and advice to university students who are in similar positions to where I was a few years ago.
