Biography

Chartered Environmentalist and full member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), member of the International Association of Impact Assessment (IAIA).

Julia joined Mott MacDonald in 2007 as a graduate environmental consultant, delivering environmental assessments for UK and international projects. In the last ten years, she has taking on people, team and project leadership roles in the environment and consents space, and has been instrumental in the delivery of a number of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) where a Development Consent Order (DCO) was required. Julia is now a technical director and our global practice lead for environment, responsible for the management and leadership of the global community of environmental practitioners, sharing knowledge, best practice, and safeguarding technical quality. Her focus is on working with teams to deliver positive environmental and social outcomes for the projects we work on, and she is a strong advocate of the power of collaboration and effective communication to achieve those goals.
