Claudio Tassistro

Claudio Tassistro joined Mott MacDonald in 2007 as a steam turbine design engineer in our thermal generation power team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Leading large multidisciplinary engineering teams on significant international power projects subsequently led to Claudio becoming the sub-divisional manager of Mott MacDonald’s power subdivision as part of the Middle East Division, before he relocated to the UK in 2017 to take on the role of Divisional Manager of the Thermal Generation Division and subsequently the position of managing director of energy in Europe.

In his role as managing director of energy in Europe, Claudio has overall responsibility for leading and delivering the UK and Europe’s energy business which encompasses electricity networks, energy transformation programmes, hydrogen and fuels networks, hydropower, nuclear, renewables and energy storage, and thermal transition projects. Under his leadership, the regional team has grown to 1,300 colleagues in 12 countries, with plans for further expansion to help our clients deliver the energy transition.

Claudio is a member of the Mott MacDonald Group’s Shareholders’ Committee and an executive sponsor for the Group’s Advancing Race & Culture (ARC) network in Europe.
