Biography

Chris joined Mott MacDonald in 2016 as major projects director bringing his experience from having worked on some of the biggest global major projects in USA, UK, Europe, Hong Kong and Australia. He became the global transport sector leader in 2023.

Externally focussed, Chris is an experienced strategic executive leader in infrastructure creation and delivery across several sectors of the civil engineering industry. He has had leadership roles on Crossrail and HS2, two of the largest engineering and design endeavours in Europe. He provides vision and strategic leadership in his project and functional infrastructure roles, delivering efficiently, whilst controlling exposure to project risks.

Chris has also been involved in several industry boards with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) bringing over 35 years of technical, programme management and project experience to influence outcomes for the consultancy and construction sector. He was recognised for his industry contribution by the Royal Academy of Engineering when in 2016, he was made a Fellow.
