On April 13, our Lead Design team for the Los Angeles Metro Regional Connector received Engineering News-Record’s 2022 Best of the Best Projects Award in the Airport/Transit category. The event was held at ENR's Annual Award of Excellence Black-Tie Gala at Chelsea Piers in New York City.

In addition to this latest win, the LA transit project has been the recipient of several other accolades. In 2022, it won ENR California’s Excellence in Safety Award and Best Airport/Transit Award for Southern California, and beat two other projects for ENR California’s Project of the Year Award.

The project has also won awards from Tunnel Business Magazine, the International Tunnelling Association, and the Underground Construction Association of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (UCA of SME).

“A Best of the Best Projects Award is considered one of commercial construction’s most prestigious and coveted honors,” Jason Fifield, Media Account Manager at Engineering News-Record.

With national recognition, this latest ENR win is testament to the commitment and hard work our team has dedicated to ensuring the success of the LA Metro transit project.

We are the prime designer of this complex design-build project, which will connect LA Metro’s A (Blue) Line, E (Expo) Line, and L (Gold) Line, saving commuters valuable time by giving them a one-seat ride through downtown Los Angeles.
