Spirit Trail over Lynn Creek wins ACEC-BC Award of Excellence

Mott MacDonald has won a 2023 Award of Excellence in the Transportation & Bridges category from the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies British Columbia (ACEC-BC). We received the award for the Spirit Trail over Lynn Creek project in North Vancouver, BC.
A multiuse bridge 13 feet (4 meters) wide and 170 feet (52 meters) long connects Vancouver’s North Shore communities while being sensitive to the surrounding forest, creek, and natural environment.
Curved approaches provide grades of 4% to 5% to ensure the trail is accessible for people of all ages and abilities. Bridge lighting increases safety for users without disturbing salmon spawning. Users now have a car-free way to pass between North Vancouver and its surrounding municipalities quickly and safely.
