Mott MacDonald names Andrew Gardner West Unit Development Manager

Andrew Gardner has been appointed West Unit Development Manager for Mott MacDonald’s North and South America Region (NASA). Andrew will lead business development strategy and implementation for our West Unit, collaborating with Unit leadership to focus efforts and investments on key clients and strategic markets, pursue and win large projects.

Andrew’s career spans 28 years in planning, developing, funding, implementing, and operating major transportation infrastructure projects. He has been with Mott MacDonald since 2007, most recently as Transportation Sector Leader for NASA’s West Unit, a role that covered all modes of transportation, including aviation, highways, ports/terminals, freight rail, passenger rail/transit, bus rapid transit, and transportation planning.

Andrew has managed and led multidisciplinary project teams on a range of major transportation infrastructure projects in North America, including the Everett Link Extension in Seattle, Edmonton’s Valley Line LRT project and the development of a five-year fare policy strategy for the Toronto Transit Commission. He brings a deep understanding of how to win and deliver work effectively in North America and has important relationships with major rail, transit, and urban mobility clients in the western US.

Before joining Mott MacDonald, Andrew was assistant director of Metro Development at the West Midlands Integrated Transport Authority in the UK. He has a BSc (Honors) in civil engineering management from the University of Wolverhampton.
