Mott MacDonald appoints Jan Rønberg to lead offshore wind in Asia

Mott MacDonald has appointed Jan Rønberg as offshore wind lead for Asia. Jan will build on the consultancy’s rich history supporting offshore wind projects and providing integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle.

Jan has extensive international experience in the offshore wind consultancy industry and the energy sector working in Europe, Asia Pacific, North America and Africa. He has a strong track record in leading and developing teams of technical experts, as well as managing complex and innovative projects. Jan spent over 13 years at engineering and architecture consultancy COWI, latterly as vice president of its offshore wind department and COWI Group global market director for offshore wind.

For years, Mott MacDonald has been at the forefront of offshore wind development in Asia. In-country teams in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan have played pivotal roles in supporting project owners from the earliest deployments. The team in Asia now has over 50 dedicated engineers specialising in offshore wind, backed by our global specialists.
