Maggie Cheung one of Mass Transit’s 40 Under 40

Senior Project Manager Maggie Cheung has been named one of Mass Transit magazine’s 40 Under 40 for 2021.

The magazine has been honoring young transit professionals since 2008 and “40 Under 40” has become one of the most prestigious awards for emerging engineers and planners in the rail and transit industry.

Based in Los Angeles, Maggie has served as project manager or pedestrian modeling task lead for high-profile domestic and international projects in ten countries across five continents.

Maggie is currently managing pedestrian microsimulation consulting service for Sound Transit’s West Seattle and Ballard Link Extensions Project. She is also one of the pedestrian modeling technical leaders for the Sydney Metro Engineering Design Solutions program.

Maggie has expanded her pedestrian modeling expertise from normal operations to special-event scenario planning in transit station design for two Olympics and one FIFA World Cup.

Maggie Cheung is currently supporting Metro Regional Rail’s AVL [Antelope Valley Line] Service and Capacity improvement project…. Maggie is always available and tirelessly working to assure the smallest details are ready for our stakeholders. I am so proud of the work Maggie has contributed toward this project and cannot wait to see what she does next.
