Liz Baldwin has been appointed as Mott MacDonald’s new Highways and Intelligent Transport Systems (HTS) divisional general manager. Liz will move from her role as Mott MacDonald’s principal account leader for Foundations and Geotechnics within the consultancy’s Metros and Civil Division.
An Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) Fellow and project management professional, Liz has over 25 years' experience in engineering and construction. She has built on her skills as an army officer in the Corps of Royal Engineers delivering projects across a variety of sectors including highway and rail schemes and local authority projects, as both a contractor and consultant. Prior to joining Mott MacDonald, Liz was Alliance Manager on Wessex Capacity Alliance, a £600m rail infrastructure project, where she developed her passion for collaboration.
Liz is also a supervising civil engineer and Women in Rail and Women in Transport mentor and leads armed forces initiatives within Mott MacDonald.
Liz said: "I am very excited to take on the role as HTS as divisional general manager. I’m happy to be working with such a talented group of people and am looking forward to leveraging my skills as a collaborative leader and my multi-disciplinary design and build experience to help HTS to be the very best it can be."
