Erik Zimmerman joins as Commercial Manager for Energy Unit

Mott MacDonald welcomes Erik Zimmerman to the Energy Unit as the Unit Commercial Manager. Erik's experience is in project controls and project management. He will be supporting the Energy Unit's division managers in building and leading bid and project teams, delivering robust proposals, and securing sound and equitable project solutions. He will be based out of the Lakewood, CO office.

He has served in professional services leadership roles for the last 10 years. These roles include project controls, earned value reporting, and risk management. As the project controls manager for the Rocky Mountain area at AECOM, Erik oversaw staff across multiple types of projects, and communicated with clients on multiple design build projects.

In his last role as a project controls director, at Kiewit Corporation he was involved with all project phases. He increased transparency for project stakeholders, focused on cost, schedule and resources, and provided leadership during the bid and proposal processes. Erik earned his degree in natural resources/business management from Colorado State University.
