Eddy Santosa, Senior Specialist, Climate and Nature Design, has received two important honors from industry organizations.

Eddy was chosen by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) to be a member of the 2023 Class of LEED Fellows. He has also been asked to join the jury of the American Institute of Architects’ Committee on the Environment (AIA COTE) Top Ten Awards for 2024.

As one of this year’s LEED Fellows, Eddy is one of 21 green building leaders who represent the top of their fields in green building design, engineering, and development. According to the USGBC, “His expertise spans the full remit of sustainable design including regenerative design, net zero planning and design, energy performance optimization, embodied and life-cycle carbon, and alternative low-carbon material uses.”

The 2023 LEED Fellows were recognized on September 28, during the annual Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in Washington, DC, the largest global gathering of green building professionals.

The AIA COTE Top Ten Awards are the industry’s best-known awards for sustainable design excellence, with innovative projects recognized each year for setting the standard in design and sustainability. Selected projects must meet the organization’s rigorous criteria for social, economic, and ecological value. (See the 2023 award winners.)

Eddy was recommended for a spot on the jury by AIA executive leadership and AIA COTE volunteer leaders, and he will join other professionals in the industry as part of the jury panel early next year.

Eddy’s honors and achievements exemplify Mott MacDonald’s commitment to designing infrastructure that delivers positive social outcomes.
