Mott MacDonald has been appointed by TransLink to develop an Enterprise Digital Strategy & Roadmap to support Transport 2050, TransLink’s 30-year transportation strategy, and related business strategies.

Created in 1998, TransLink is responsible for Metro Vancouver’s regional transportation network in Canada, including public transportation, major roads, and bridges. Transport 2050 includes more than 100 actions, including quadrupling the rapid transit network, adding 528 miles (850 kilometers) of protected bikeways, and prioritizing “walking, biking, rolling, transit, sharing, and electrifying how we move.”

TransLink has a track record for leveraging technology to improve its business, customer service, and employee experience, and has increasingly digitized its transit system, services, operations, and back office. However, these technology investments have been made across the enterprise with varying levels of planning and integration.

We will help define TransLink’s digital ambition and the role technology will play in achieving its long-range organizational goals. The project will shape how TransLink plans, delivers, and supports technology to maximize value for its customers, employees, and service delivery.

Our team will draw on our global digital capabilities, including staff from the US, Canada, and the UK. Mott MacDonald’s other projects on behalf of TransLink have included the Burnaby Mountain Gondola and the redevelopment of Columbia Station in New Westminster, BC.
