Currie & Brown Mott MacDonald JV appointed to Australian Department of Defence infrastructure panel

The Currie & Brown Mott MacDonald Joint Venture (CBMMJV) has been appointed to the Australian Defence Infrastructure Panel under the service category of Project Management and Contract Administration (PMCA) Panel. The joint venture will provide services to the Department of Defence for six years.

Security and Estate Group (SEG), within the Department of Defence, established the Defence Infrastructure Panel to provide streamlined access to high quality infrastructure related professional services. The PMCA panel comprises eight prequalified suppliers who will support the Department of Defence.

CBMMJV brings together project experience gained from working in the defence sector combined with domain knowledge from other industries. The JV will provide services including project management and business case services for a portfolio of defence infrastructure investment in Australia. The appointment also allows other departments and agencies to procure the JV services under Whole of Australian Government arrangements.

Adrian Jones, managing director, Mott MacDonald Australia said: “We’re looking forward to working closely with the Department of Defence to help them achieve their project objectives. Our joint venture with Currie & Brown brings together our combined technical expertise and experience of successfully delivering major projects in defence and other sectors. We will seek to apply our understanding of decarbonisation, climate change and digital technology, to deliver sustainable and resilient infrastructure.”

Andrew Wigg, regional managing director, Currie & Brown South Asia Pacific and Australia said: “We are excited to partner with Mott MacDonald to provide high-quality and innovative solutions that drive sustainable results for the Department of Defence. Currie & Brown has a long-standing track record of supporting the military and defence industry. This unique blend of our extensive knowledge and expertise in infrastructure enablement, along with Mott MacDonald’s cutting-edge engineering capability, will provide the Department of Defence with an enhanced sustainable and viable solution to meet their long-term needs.”
