Brooke Belman joins as Urban Planning and Mobility Market Leader

We are pleased to announce that Brooke Belman has joined Mott MacDonald as Urban Planning and Mobility Market Leader for North America, based in our Seattle office. Brooke brings over 20 years of industry experience and she will play an integral role in advancing our work in Transit and Urban Mobility.

Brooke joins us from Sound Transit. There she oversaw the largest transit expansion in the US, including the planning, design, and construction for multibillion-dollar infrastructure projects such as facilities supporting light rail, commuter rail, express bus service, and a planned bus rapid transit network. During her 20 years with Sound Transit, Brooke’s senior leadership roles included agency chief of staff, interim chief executive officer and, most recently, deputy chief executive officer.

With deep expertise in community engagement, Brooke played a direct role in establishing Sound Transit’s Equitable Transit-Oriented Development program and was highly focused on outcomes that support and connect communities.

Brooke has held leadership roles with a variety of industry organizations, including Mpact (formerly Rail~Volution) and Women’s Transportation Seminar.
