The WTS North Carolina Triangle Chapter recently presented Midsouth and Midwest Transportation Division General Manager Brian Speight with its 2024 Honorable Ray LaHood Award.
This award recognizes a male leader “who has directly contributed toward the advancement of women and minorities through programs or opportunities in the transportation field.”
Mary Rawls Whitby, president of the WTS North Carolina Triangle Chapter,
presents the Honorable Ray LaHood Award to Brian Speight.
Brian received the award at the chapter’s Go Gala Awards event on May 16. It is named after US Department of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood (2009 to 2013), who supported WTS International’s mission during his term in office.
This award recognizes Brian’s contribution toward the advancement of women and minorities in transportation. He continues to lead by example while seeking out opportunities to advance and advocate for women within Mott MacDonald and the greater transportation industry.
I am honored to be this year’s Honorable Ray LaHood Award recipient, and I look forward to continuing to support WTS’ mission into the future.Brian SpeightGeneral Manager, Midsouth and Midwest Transportation Division
