Objective of the Overall Assignment: Manage the Engineering and Procurement Construction (EPC) Contracts of renovation of hospitals/nursing schools including Proof Checking and Review of Designs and Drawings and undertake Construction Supervision so as to ensure (a) renovation of the district hospital and nursing schools as per the specifications and standards in the stipulated time and (b) the hospital, nursing school so renovated are fit for use. The consulting assignment shall include provision of assistance in procurement of contractor services including but not limited to preparation of RFB documents, preparation of addendum to RFB documents, preparation of replies to bidders’ queries, preparation of bid evaluation report, preparation of contract documents for the renovation works of twenty-five district hospitals, ten nursing schools and preparation of bid evaluation report.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise to ensure all works including civil, interiors, engineering services are being done as per the approved design drawings for renovation of hospitals/nursing schools and in compliance to the specifications provided in the works contract agreement.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, other necessary regulations, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Proactively identify any mistakes/shortcomings in the implementation and get it corrected.
  • Initiate documentation of the works at site. Ensure maintenance of various records at site like but not limited to, (i) drawings register, (ii) site visit register, (iii) quality check lists register/reports, (iv) materials received register, (v) test reports, (vi) test certificates (vendor, lab), (vii) correspondence etc, pertaining to word contract including photographing of the works to capture important stages, evidence etc.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and enforcement of the same at site, along with the EHS officer.
  • Support in preparation of monthly progress reports to be submitted to the client, including progress achieved, planned work, material received on site, quality control checks conducted, list of activities on site, issues observed, site-based documentation and reports etc.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Graduate in a related field of building construction with minimum 5 years of experience in construction of buildings.
