About the Job

The Project Manager (Package Manager) for the Gas Turbines will be responsible for overseeing and managing specific packages of work within the overall construction of a Duba Energy Park power plant. This role requires a blend of strong technical knowledge in the energy sector and exceptional managerial skills to ensure successful project execution. The Package Manager will coordinate with various stakeholders, manage contractors, and ensure that all project deliverables are met within the stipulated time, budget, and quality standards. You will be expected to combine managerial competencies and technical responsibilities, promote a collaborative approach and inspire the team to deliver projects to quality, budget and timescales. 

 

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below: 

  • Oversee and manage specific work packages for the Gas Turbines within the Duba Energy Park power plant construction project. 

  • Ensure project deliverables are met within the stipulated time, budget, and quality standards. 

  • Maintain effective communication with the Project Manager, schedule manager, contractors, and other stakeholders. 

  • Adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project-specific constraints. 

  • Conduct technical evaluations and assessments of gas turbine technologies to determine the best solutions for specific applications. 

 

Candidate specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 
  • Experience in large-scale construction projects in the energy sector. 
  • Experience in gas turbine engineering, with significant exposure to OEM environments. 
  • In-depth knowledge of various gas turbine technologies, including their operation and maintenance. 
  • Proven experience in the design, development, and implementation of gas turbine packages for power plants 
  • Strong technical background in power plant construction. 
  • Proven managerial skills with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools. 
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements. 
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
