Responsibilities:

 

  • The requirements listed below are broadly representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Understanding and review of P&IDs. 
  • Preparation of Instrument Index and I/O list, alarm trip setting list, Cause & effect, logic diagrams, Material take of (MTO), Control and safeguarding narratives. Etc.
  • Preparation of Technical Specifications, data sheets, Material Requisitions and technical bid evaluation for Field instruments, Analyzers, Control/ESD valves, Fire and Gas (F&G) devices, Custody/Allocation metering, Telecom system (CCTV/ ACS/ PAGA/ FOC etc.).
  • Flowmeter, Control valves, Safety valves sizing, selection and adequacy check.
  • Preparation of Technical Specifications, Material Requisitions, and technical bid evaluation for various control system like Distributed control system (DCS), Safety PLC SIS/IPS, SCADA, Fire and Gas system (FGS) , Machine monitoring system (MMS)
  • Participate in various engineering workshop like HAZOP, SIL studies, Design review, Alarm rationalization etc. and closeout of Instrumentation action.
  • Instrument and Package vendor drawing reviews.
  • Preparation of Cable schedule, JB schedule, instrument hook ups, JB wiring, Bill of Material/MTO’s.
  • Process & Non process(Building/Substation/Control room) area Building fire alarm system, VESDA system etc.
  • Telecommunication engineering i.e. CCTV, Access control system(ACS), Public addressing system (PAGA), Fiber optic cable (FOC) etc.
  • Liaise with technicians for gathering inputs for preparation of layouts to ensure design intent is correctly implemented
  • Coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Involvement in meeting and coordination with Global lead offices and end client.

 

Candidate Specification :

 

  • Conversant with Design aspect and working within Instrumentation discipline for Oil and Gas, Water, or other process industry.
  • Provide cost effective technical solutions
  • Conversant with International standards and Codes of practice.
  • Experience in handling Brownfield/Maintenance project will be added advantage.
  • Strong computer skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Knowledge of various software like Instrucal, SPI(INTOOLS), Skill in advance Excel techniques like V-Lookup, H-Lookup, Macros and Basic skills in any 3D Modeling tools and in AutoCAD would be added advantage.
  • Excellent oral and written English language communication skills.
  • Be able to work in a team environment and manage multiple project responsibilities.
  • Support to Seniors for implementation of weekly planned activities.
  • Ability to work in flexible hours, occasionally more than working hours per week to meet client deadlines
  • Inclination to use Technology to bring in innovative solutions
  • Self-motivated individual with keen interest to learn new skills and add value to the team/ organization
