Senior Engineer - ELV

Job purpose:

As a Sr. Engineer - ELV, you will be responsible to collaborate with internal & external design stakeholders on project for successful submission on all ICT, Security and ELV domain assignments for built environment projects across various global regions. You need to demonstrate strong project design skills for ICT, Security and ELV Systems and following client’s specifications and business guidelines. Being a Senior engineer, you need to guide and encourage the junior team members with their tasks, sharing best practices and techniques, and suggesting adjustments as needed.

To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate the following competencies:

•    IT and standard industry software skills, including hands-on knowledge of Wi-Fi Heat Mapping, IP Video Simulation, PA/BGM speaker simulation, BIM, and other digital platforms.
•    Continuously looking for innovations and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables across individuals, teams, and projects. 

•    Using leadership skills to build and nurture relationships and creating effective working environments.
•    Able to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams.

•    Adopting a proactive approach towards complex tasks and overall delivery in close coordination with Internal and external design stakeholders. 
•    Sound knowledge of professional and international standards.

Duties and responsibilities:
•    Scope identification and project coordination among internal MEP & External design Stakeholders. 

•    Design delivery and team management along with End-to-end design experience for ICT, Security and ELV systems.
•    Design and Modelling of ICT, Security and ELV systems for all types of buildings from concept design through to detailed design.
•    Provide end to end design solutions for technical issues in relation to areas of ICT, Security and ELV systems design like IP CCTV, Access Control, PAVA etc.

•    ICT, Security and ELV system design as per Standards TIA/EIA, BS, BICSI, TRA, SIRA, ADMCC, Etisalat & Du.
•    Evaluate and advise on ICT, Security and ELV related design changes and non-conformations to ensure fulfilment of the requirements.
•    Developing suitable Schedules, Calculations & schematics, and further detailing in line with design requirement.

•    ICT, Security and ELV specifications drafting, schedules and sizing calculations.
•    BIM/Revit Overview, coordination, Navisworks design review & Design collaboration skills. 

Candidate specification & Technical Expertise: 
•    BE / BTech / MTech - Electrical / Instrumentation/ Electronics.

•    Awareness of Autodesk CAD, Revit and BIM/ACC would be mandatory.
•    Extensive relevant work experience with ICT, Security and ELV system design involvements.
•    Cisco Active & Passive networking system understanding will be an added advantage.

•    Fundamental Design understanding of following building systems would be required: 
1.    Local Area Network (LAN) (ICT Network Switches, Wi-Fi, Topology, Firewall, Cyber Security, Video Conference).
2.    Access Control System (ACS, Gate Control, Barriers, Turnstile, Visitor Management).

3.    Intrusion Detection System (IDS/PIDS, Buried, Fiber Optic, Microwave, Motion, Glass Break).
4.    Public Address & General Alarm (Speakers, Sounder, Beacon, Array).
5.    Closed Circuit Television System (CCTV, Analytics, VMS, ANPR).

6.    Building Management Systems (Modbus, BACnet, LON, OPC & SCADA).
7.    Radio (AM/FM, TETRA) & GSM Infrastructure.
8.    PABX, Intercom, Paging, IP Telephone.

•    Design acumen for Smart Services and Building management system will be an added advantage.
•    Hands on design experience on Bentley MicroStation, Aecosim & Open Building Design platforms will be an added advantage.
•    Structured Cabling (FO, Copper) expertise with CCNA, BISCI RCDD/ DCDC/ CTS will be an added advantage.
