Project Engineer - Geotech

Mott MacDonald is seeking a self-driven and motivated mid-level Geotechnical Engineer to support the geotechnical design components of multi-disciplinary projects in US and internationally.This position can sit out of the following Mott MacDonald offices: Iselin, NJ; New York, NY; Westwood, MA. 

Job Duties

• Responsible for preparation of proposals, technical analyses and reports, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Comprehensive experience with determining geotechnical engineering properties of soil/rock, geotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soil/structure interaction.
• Design, implementation, coordination and oversight of large and small subsurface exploration program, and laboratory testing programs for a wide range of high-profile projects. 
• Interact and lead the junior engineers and support them in their career development.
   

Preferred Qualifications and Required Experience: 

• Highly motivated, responsible, dedicated, and dependable.
• 4 to 7 years of relevant experience  
• MS Degree with a concentration in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred.
• P.E. license(s) or ability to obtain within one year.
• Alternative delivery experience.
• Experience in interacting with public agencies and DOTs
• Experience with geotechnical field investigations, construction observation, determining geotechnical engineering properties of soil/rock.
•  Geotechnical analyses including slope stability, settlement, and soil/structure interaction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with geotechnical design software such as: OpenGround, Slope/W, DeepEx, LPile, RSPile. Settle. PLAXIS and CAD preferred.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills.

Salary Range: $127,000 - $156,000
