As a Project Controls Specialist assigned to the Federal Way Link Extension project, you will leverage your experience in data analysis, budget planning and analysis, problem solving, and research. You will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals on a major design-build transit project in the Seattle area. The ideal candidate will excel at managing multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced design-build project environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the project management team to administer the contract between the Owner and Design-Build Contractor 
  • Prepare, maintain, retrieve, and communicate records, reports, or documents required to meet contractual requirements 
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, scheduling, Resident Engineer and construction management teams
  • Interpret, summarize, and check complex data sets to produce weekly and monthly reports on project status
  • Navigate and understand numerous data sources to provide accurate reporting
  • Manage the monthly pay application review process, which includes coordination with numerous team members 
  • Lead coordination meetings to support the pay application process, and facilitate other meetings as needed
  • Prepare letters and correspondence explaining payment decisions
  • Review the monthly schedule with a focus on critical and near critical activities, significant changes in logic, and float
  • Monitor concurrence between schedule updates, monthly progress reports and Pay Applications
  • Provide simple and complex data exports, Gantt charts, and schedule excerpts as requested
  • Answer schedule-related questions during meetings
  • Perform time impact analyses and other schedule analyses as requested
  • Summarize schedule and cost information, including developing graphics, for a high-level audience
  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Candidate Specifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Construction Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years in project control activities, including progress tracking, data analysis, reporting, managing complex spreadsheets, and consolidating data from multiple sources
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office tools; experience with Primavera P6 and familiarity with PowerBI are advantageous
  • Willing to work in the Federal Way office at least 2 days per week
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and teamwork abilities

Salary Range: $75,000 - $82,000
