Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Review & checking of documents.
  • Should be a team leader, should have handled team consisting of 5+ members.
  • Should be able to communicate with client, understand their requirements and can solve issues.
  • Review of Design Basis documents, BEP, FEED.
  • Review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
  • Review & guide for Heat & Mass Balance calculations.
  • Review of Hydraulic Calculations.
  • Design process equipment such as heat exchangers, columns, and reactors.
  • Size Pressure Safety Valves (PSV) and Emergency Relief Valves (ERV).
  • Develop Process Control Philosophy and Control Narratives.
  • Review of Process Data Sheets (PDS) and Instrument Process Data Sheets (IPDS).
  • Review & checking of Vendor drawings and documents.
  • Should be able to estimate effort for any activity.

Essential Candidate Requirements:

  • B.E / B. Tech - Chemical Engineer Preferably M.E / M. Tech (Full Time)
  • Experience in chemical process industries or a similar chemical engineering process field, with strong consulting background.
  • Strong aptitude in Chemical Engineering.
  • Good understanding of process unit operations and process calculations, including principles of heat exchangers, distillation, fluid flow, and reactions.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with other discipline engineers to understand and solve their issues.
  • Working experience with HYSYS and HTRI software.
  • Experience in designing various process equipment and engineering concepts.
  • Active participation in HAZID, HAZOP, SOP, and Process Safety development.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, Heat and Mass Balance calculations, and process equipment sizing.
  • Experience in risk studies and brainstorming on process units involving risk analysis and safeguards.
  • Ability to analyse, optimize, and troubleshoot chemical process plant equipment and machinery.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing process datasheets for equipment such as distillation columns, separators, reactors, and heat exchangers.
  • Execution of debottlenecking projects and expansion studies.
  • Participation in MOC studies and recommendations.
