JD for Recruitment of Planning Engineer
- Understands engineering dependencies in EPCM projects since will have to act as an interface between Projects & Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Teams for preparing and updating level 3/4/5 schedules, WBS etc. while taking ownership of planning function to ensure integrity of the data being processed.
- Work with Project Teams to ensure milestones are set w.r.t contract terms. Understands commercial implications of delay and timely flags abnormalities.
- Monitors project progress on weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis, tracks slippages, prepares forecasts with catch-up plans, list out bottlenecks and represent the same on a Dashboard for stakeholder review.
- Work with Project Teams for Critical path analysis, Delay analysis (baseline v/s actual variation with corrective action), S-curves and monthly progress reporting.
- Analyse past project data for estimating time completion for milestones/ activities/ packages/ deliverables/sequencing etc. in accordance with the critical path.
- Aids project team with budget preparation in line with weightages allotted to departments w.r.t document control index and milestones.
- Create variance reports using Earned Value Method (EMV) at various stages of the project to analyse deviations.
- Amalgamate different schedules (Engineering + Procurement + Construction)
Candidate Specification
- Qualified graduate in B.E. / B. Tech - Chemical / Mechanical. Ideal candidates who have MBA or post-graduation in construction management or any project management qualifications would be preferred.
- Adept with Project Planning Tools like MS Projects and Primavera.
- Adept at multi-level/multi-tier system of planning.
- Review design deliverables & drawings before released for construction.
- Accountable for ensuring that all scope changes are maintained on a trend log and are promptly transmitted to the client for resolution in form of change controls.
- Experience in managing industrial projects is desirable.
