Mott MacDonald New Zealand has grown significantly over the past 12 months, to over 300 strong and now houses a team of specialists who enjoy sharing success in delivering awesome projects such as Lake Onslow Pumped Hydro Scheme, multiple complex wastewater treatment plants, Hamilton Water Master Plan, Safe Swim, Auckland Councils flood management system and Auckland Airport upgrades. 
 

The role. What you will do. 

 
Our Auckland Water team are looking for an established Senior or Principal Three Waters Engineer with experience in planning and delivering wastewater, stormwater and/or potable water systems to join us to deliver network planning projects across New Zealand.  

 

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team this opportunity would see you co-ordinating across our planning, Moata smart water, flow monitoring, hydraulic modelling and civil engineering teams. You would also be responsible for deliverables including reports and client presentations.  You would work in close partnership with both junior and senior staff, and be responsible for directly interfacing with our clients to understand their needs.  

 

Your contribution will help to continue to grow our presence in New Zealand as well as improve public health, the local environment and access to three waters infrastructure through the projects we deliver.  

 

This role will be pivotal in further developing our existing team especially in using your skills and experience to mentor more junior members of the team to deliver complex growth and planning studies to support our clients in managing their three waters networks.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar relevant qualification and several years experience in the three waters industry (project management, design, hydraulic modelling, network planning etc). You will be a strategic thinker with a with a strong yet broad understanding of the three waters industry and experience with project management. You will have experience working in multidisciplinary teams, supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
