Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive research and data analysis to identify transportation challenges and opportunities, developing
strategic transportation plans and policies.
· Evaluate the impact of proposed transportation projects, considering factors such as environmental sustainability,
economic feasibility, and social equity.
· Design transportation infrastructure, including roads, railways, bike lanes, and pedestrian pathways, ensuring safety and
efficiency.
· Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in transport planning to integrate innovative
solutions into projects
· Utilize transportation modeling software, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and statistical analysis tools such as
Visum, Cube, Synchro, SATURN, EMME, Junctions9/Sidra/Linsig, TUBA, Quadro, and Diadem to conduct traffic
simulations and forecasts
· Analyse complex data sets to identify patterns and trends, developing innovative solutions to transportation challenges
and continuously improving processes.
· Collaborate with engineers, urban planners, and policymakers to integrate transportation solutions with land use planning
and urban development.
· Provide technical oversight, reviewing and checking the work of junior team members to ensure accuracy and adherence
to project standards.
· Demonstrate working knowledge of common data environments such as ProjectWise, ensuring efficient data
management and project collaboration.
·Analyse technical design problems and offer innovative ideas to improve solutions and processes, ensuring projects meet
client and regulatory requirements.
·Communicate effectively with counterparts in the lead office/Client office, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to
ensure seamless project delivery
Key Competencies:
· 1-2 years of experience in transport planning or multidisciplinary engineering projects. Experience in preparing Traffic
Impact Assessments and designing transportation infrastructure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to
liaise with clients, authorities, and stakeholders
· Liaison with clients, authorities, stakeholders for approval of submissions
· Knowledge in transport modelling application (e.g. SATURN) would be an advantage
· Less experience candidates will be considered for Assistant Engineer or Graduate Engineer positions.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s/ master’s degree holder in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
· Member of recognised institution and working towards chartership.
