Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the GEDSI Action Plan (GAP).
  • Close collaboration with technical team members and the GCIP team.
  • Managing the overall implementation and reporting of the GAP.
  • Integrating GEDSI into the relevant deliverables on the work stream 1 and 3.
  • Advise on attendees for th workshops to ensure adequte respesentation/ gender balance/ diversity of participants. 
  • Collecting evidence and utilizing GEDSI disaggregated data to support the tchnical team's efforts.

Candidate Specifications

Education

  • Master’s degree in social science, transport planning or related discipline (degree in gender studies will be an advantage)

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant position.
  • Experiences in conducting GEDSI programmes, including programme design, roadmap development and implementation, and delivering training and advocacy.
  • Experiences in working with or in women’s organizations.
  • Experiences in facilitating workshop, public consultation and meeting.
  • Experiences in engagement with relevant national and local governments stakeholders.

Skills & Training

  • Demonstrated research, writing, verbal, and organization skills.
  • Knowledge and skills in collaborative gender sensitive governance of water / transport infrastructures.
  • Strong communication skills including fluency in English speaking and writing.
  • Ability to work independently as well as an effective team member.
  • Knowledge and skills in stakeholders’ engagement, public policy and gender analysis.
