We are currently seeking an Environmental Consultant for our team in Taipei. In this role you will find opportunities for strong career progression by contributing to our large scale local and international projects. You will apply your working experience in providing environmental and social (E&S) consultancy services to clients including lender's and owner’s advisory services. You will be working hand-in-hand across the global Mott MacDonald Group as part of a large project team to deliver on our global projects.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Contribute to environmental studies, analysis and reporting related to environment and social projects.
- Project coordination and report writing for a variety of environmental and social (E&S) consultancy services projects, such as environmental and social due diligence (ESDD) and E&S assessments.
- Participate in project/client management through attending meetings with clients as well as coordinating between/within teams to address technical and commercial issues.
- Supporting other team members and project managers to deliver high quality work.
- Ensuring compliance with our business management systems.
- Collaborating with other team members (both locally and globally), across disciplines and sectors, to pursue innovation and open opportunities with connected thinking.
What can you bring to the team?
- Bachelor’s Degree in in environmental science/engineering/management or other areas relevant to a core environmental, ecology or social disciplines. Master’s qualification is also desirable.
- Up to 2 years of experience in an environmental consultancy background will be preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome.
- A strong command of English and Mandarin.
- Interest and/or experience in delivering environmental studies, such as ESDDs, EIAs and ESIAs.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking, as well as the ability to present objective-focused narratives through solid report writing skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Enthusiasm to work on a variety of different types of projects.
- Self-starter, taking the initiative..
- Willingness to travel domestically when needed for project site visits or client meetings.
- Familiarity of any of following will be a plus
- International lending safeguard requirements - such as Equator Principles (EPs) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards
- Energy sector, in particular renewables, in particular, offshore wind
- E&S advisory services in a transactional/financing setting
- Environmental impact assessment, whether to international standards or local regulations
- A focus speciality with regards to one of the following: biodiversity, permitting, social impact assessment, and/or stakeholder engagement/survey/consultation
