Digital Lead

 

Location:

Flexible (agile) but preferred to be based in the south of England, near regional hubs (Durham, Skipton, Leeds, Shifnal, Newport, Reading, Peterborough).

 

What you will be doing:

  • Accelerate Digital Transformation: Support MMB and JNB businesses by embedding digital processes and technology.
  • Accountability: Responsible for digital delivery performance, measured by adoption and business-impact targets.
  • Cutting-Edge Digital Delivery: Work with the latest hardware and software in a design and construction business.
  • Expert Resource: Be accessible and visible to operational teams.
  • Client Support: Help clients in their digital transformation by aligning projects and initiatives with their desired outcomes.

Who we’re looking for…

  • Digital advocate: Passionate about expanding digital delivery and convincing others to adopt it.
  • Experience: Proven track record in delivering projects using digital technology.
  • Knowledge: Project technology landscape in digital construction.
  • Engagement Skills: Ability to engage diverse groups, from site workers to directors.

The essentials

  • Higher education to degree level or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and commitment to using technologies effectively
  • Can evidence project management experience
  • Strong communication skills

Optional (one or more) …

  • Experience as a site manager, engineer, or surveyor using technologies like total stations, GPS, LiDAR, etc.
  • Design experience with Autodesk BIM Software (e.g., Revit, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, Navisworks).
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS or similar GIS systems.
  • Data science background or experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI.
  • Automation background or experience with programming languages like Python or tools like Dynamo.

This is a Mott MacDonald Bentley role, employed by Mott MacDonald.
Mott MacDonald Bentley is a joint venture business, established in 1999 between civil engineering contractor JN Bentley and global management consultancy, Mott MacDonald.

Mott MacDonald Bentley offers fully integrated design and build services to its clients, combining the contracting expertise of JN Bentley and the design specialisms of Mott MacDonald.

This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.
