Communications Advisor

We are looking for a Communications Advisor based in Indonesia who will ideally be shared resource for the Green Cities and Infrastructure Programme (“GCIP”) and the Future Cities Infrastructure Programme (“FCIP”) tasked with leading on the Communications and support the Learning mainstreaming across all relevant workstreams.

This will not only enable better connectivity on learning and narrative coming out of each respective programmes but critically will help align on reporting and write-up as both will be delivered under a single GCIP contract and quarterly milestone reporting cadence.

This role will interface between the GCIP/FCIP Indonesia delivery teams and the GCIP Central L&C Team. Note, the GCIP Central L&C Team will set communication strategies, templates, etc. and will hold final approval on any products – as such there will be an informal reporting line into the GCIP Central L&C Team. The provision of services for GCIP/FCIP in Indonesia include but are not limited to.

Support the GCIP Learning Advisor to:

• Maintain a learning log (in alignment with the GCIP Central L&C Team) for activities in Indonesia including Deep Offer (“DO”) interventions and Targeted Offer (“TO”) work packages, and for FCIP. Activities include recording a range of contextual and thematic learning points throughout each quarter.

• Gather inputs from the DO interventions, TO work packages and FCIP workstreams for the Highlights Section (Achievements, Challenges, Learning Points and Priorities) for each Quarterly Report Cycle

• Support the GCIP Central L&C Team in bespoke learning tasks and outputs related to GCIP’s portfolio in Indonesia, particularly GCIP DO interventions and FCIP.

• Support the GCIP Central L&C Team on the production and dissemination of learning products that draw on evidence and learning from GCIP in Indonesia.

• Support the GCIP Central L&C Team to identify and disseminate relevant resources and learning from outside GCIP to inform GCIP and FCIP workstreams in Indonesia.

• Support GCIP Central L&C Team to facilitate learning meetings and events, including possible learning sessions each quarter between the DO countries (esp. the Asian DO countries).

Core activities for Communications:

• Support the GCIP Central L&C Team to produce communications content and materials (planned and ad hoc / on FCDO request)

• Provide input to FCDO Post in Indonesia for announcements, press notices, social media, speeches etc. related to GCIP in Indonesia

• Coordinate with delivery teams to draft Spotlights on Success from GCIP in Indonesia (2/3 per quarter)

• Provide the GCIP Central L&C Team material from GCIP in Indonesia for the weekly updates to FCDO

• Support the GCIP Central L&C Team to draft blogs from the perspective of GCIP in Indonesia as required

• Support the GCIP Central L&C Team to develop country-based products/information (TBD format and content)

• Support the GCIP Central L&C Team to create and upload new content and edit existing pages – resources/news items/strategies/blogs, etc.

• Support the GCIP Central L&C Team to manage the content of the Indonesia country page on the GCI website

• Support the GCIP Central L&C Team to draft content for regular internal updates on GCIP in Indonesia

• Support and coordinate with the GCIP Central L&C Team on strategy to achieve comms goals for certain events or achievements
