We are seeking a Construction Inspector for highway and bridge inspection projects. This position will be in our Pensacola, FL office. Duties will include but may not be limited to:

• Traveling to various project sites to conduct inspection and testing duties
• Following standard procedures and specifications for documentation and inspection of construction activities
• Reading, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with construction plans, specifications, and contracts
• Daily calculating, reporting, documenting, and communicating verbally and in writing
• Computing quantities for items such as concrete, asphalt, steel, earthwork, drainage structures, and traffic control devices
• Operating company vehicle, computer, and testing equipment
• Reporting construction progress and issues with engineers, contractors, utilities, and government officials to Senior Field and Administrative personnel
• Documenting field changes and as-built plans
• Documenting daily diaries and material test reports
• Working in an office or outdoor environment in varying weather conditions as required by the project type.

We invite applications from candidates with the following qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent plus two (2) years experience in construction inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection,
• or an Engineer Intern with a Civil Engineering degree (requires certificate) having the ability to earn the required qualifications and certifications within one year

The following qualifications and certifications are a plus-
Qualifications:

• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
• CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
• CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
• CTQP Final Estimates Level I

Certifications:

• FDOT Intermediate MOT
• Nuclear Radiation Safety
• IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
• Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
