Bridges and Civil Structure Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
•    Project Involvement: Participate in the planning, design, and execution of bridge and civil structure projects from inception to completion.
•    Innovative Design: Utilize cutting-edge software and tools to create innovative and efficient structural designs.
•    Technical Development: Assist in the development of technical expertise and solutions for complex engineering problems.
•    BIM Development: Develop and enhance your Building Information Modelling (BIM) skills, including the use of advanced software.
•    Site Inspections: Conduct on-site inspections and assessments to ensure the quality and safety of structures.
•    Client Interaction: Liaise with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide support the wider team in developing tailored solutions.
•    Report Preparation: Assist in the preparation of detailed engineering reports and documentation.
•    Project Management: Support project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
•    Compliance: Ensure all designs and projects comply with relevant standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
•    Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.

What we’re looking for:
•    Academic: A class 2.1 or above BEng (or higher) in Civil / Structural Engineering
•    Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, including the use of software like AutoCAD, MIDAS CIVIL, and BIM tools. Visual scripting skills are advantageous.
•    Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
•    Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in design and compliance with safety standards.
•    Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, contributing to the success of collaborative projects.
•    Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, methods, and industry trends.
