Mott MacDonald are currently looking to recruit an Aviation Market Director to focus on growing and developing our aviation capability and offering in Saudi Arabia. The role will focus on developing existing and securing new opportunities with our managed aviation accounts in KSA. The person will leverage the Mott MacDonald Aviation global and regional knowledge and expertise on opportunities and projects within Saudi Arabia. This person will also be responsible for ensuring that current and future projects are delivered in accordance with Client and Mott MacDonald requirements for quality and safety. 

 

As well as being a technical leader in the field you will demonstrate strong strategic business development and commercial acumen, with a focus on delivery of excellence and an ability to develop high profile relationships. You will have significant experience in advisory, planning, design and development of aviation projects.

 

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the market.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and client needs.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Understand client goals, challenges, and needs to tailor solutions effectively.
  • Ensure client satisfaction to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
  • Create compelling value propositions and sales pitches.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design customized proposals and presentations.
  • Lead contract negotiations to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Address client objections and concerns effectively.
  • Close deals and secure new contracts.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal client solutions.
  • Lead and mentor a team.
  • Ensure alignment of team goals with overall business objectives.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
  • Adjust strategies based on performance data and market feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Identify opportunities for competitive differentiation.
  • Adapt strategies to leverage market insights.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective campaigns.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
  • Utilize social media and digital platforms for outreach and engagement.

 

Candidate specifications:

  • Demonstrable track record in winning and delivering work for key aviation clients
  • Experience in Middle East is preferred
  • Recognition within the industry as an innovator and technical leader
  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline preferably professional chartered status
  • Significant experience operating at this level
  • Proven track record in growing and developing a team
  • Proven negotiating and influencing skills
  • Proven Client relationship management experience
