Biography

Sean is a chartered civil engineer with over 30 years’ experience in port and coastal projects across various roles. Sean joined Mott MacDonald in 2014 as account lead for the ports team within transport and in 2017 was appointed global practice leader for ports, coastal and offshore where he continues to oversee Mott MacDonald’s global maritime activities.

He champions innovative and sustainable solutions, underpinned by his keen focus on sharing knowledge to foster best practice while improving efficiency. Sean drives Mott MacDonald’s support of The World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure (PIANC) in developing global best practice for port and coastal designs.

As account lead Sean is responsible for business strategy development, opportunity identification and pursuit and leading multidisciplinary teams through the project cycle, covering aspects such as master planning, feasibility studies, technical reviews, asset management, and detailed design. Additionally, Sean is well-versed in contract procurement and administration.
