Biography

Rachel is an experienced business leader with a background in the general management of large infrastructure projects. Rachel gained her experience as an engineer and project manager working on some of the largest and most challenging civil engineering schemes in the UK. She has led large multidisciplinary teams through the entire project lifecycle having successfully delivered schemes at feasibility and options stage and managed nationally significant infrastructure projects through planning, design and construction as well as having led large asset management programmes.

In 2019 Rachel joined Mott MacDonald where she is now the Managing Director for Mott MacDonald’s Advisory and Programme Delivery business in the UK and Europe. In her current role she is responsible for teams delivering projects and services across a wide range of markets including transportation, energy, defence, water, and the built environment. Rachel is also a member of the Mott MacDonald shareholder committee which plays an important role in providing strategic oversights and ensuring governance as an employee-owned company.

Rachel studied civil engineering and architecture at Bath University and is now a chartered civil engineer and a fellow of the Institute of Civil Engineers. Rachel is passionate about developing people and creating diverse and inclusive working environments where people can be their best and deliver great outcomes.
