Ken Norbury is the managing director of transport (UK and Europe) for Mott MacDonald.
Ken joined Mott MacDonald in 1998 after nine years in ground engineering with a major UK contractor. Over the next 20 years he held senior roles developing an exceptional portfolio of work winning, high performance growth, strategic change and tactical delivery. From 2019 he successfully led the Building and Infrastructure business before taking on the transport managing director role in 2022.
An experienced leader within the transport and built environment sectors, Ken’s experience spans a variety of senior operational, project management and client-facing roles. His career is built on a foundation of cross discipline collaboration and focus on securing client outcomes on major civil engineering multidisciplinary schemes.
Ken is a Fellow of the ICE and Mott MacDonald’s Sponsor for the Northern Powerhouse Partnership. Formerly a Chair of the NW Region of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering and ICE Geotechnical Group he’s a champion of technical excellence and industry collaboration.
